StopTheSpreadOnline operates this Site to provide a safe, confidential, easy, free
way to notify sexual partners that they may have been exposed to an STD. It is important
that this service is used for its intended purpose, and that it is done in a respectful
way. Misuse will not be tolerated. By accessing and using this Site, you agree to
each of the terms and conditions set in the “Terms of Use”.
Sending E-Cards
By using this site you agree that you will send e-cards only to individuals you
have been sexually intimate with and for the sole purpose of notifying them they
may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease. You agree you will only
use this site responsibly and only for the above stated purpose. Users are responsible
for the content and message in their own e-cards. You will not use this site to
send information about possible STD exposure from people other than yourself. You
will not give out personal information (e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc.) of
people other than yourself.

Receiving e-cards
If you receive an e-card, it does not mean that you have an STD. E-cards from this
site are only intended to alert you that you may have been exposed to an STD. If
you receive an e-card go get tested for STD’s.
If your STD test results show you have contracted an STD, please consider using
StopTheSpreadOnline.org to send e-cards to your own sexual partners.
Take control of your health. Educate yourself by visiting our partner website: www.friendtofriend.org. Practice safer
sex to reduce your risk of contracting an STD and if you’re sexually active get
tested regularly. Together we can help stop the cycle of STD infections growing
in our community.

SELF-PROMOTION AND COMMERCIAL SERVICES
If we receive notification that a user and/or entity is sending e-cards for any
purpose other than notifying their sexual partner of possible STD exposure they
will be subject to the suspension of utilizing the e-card service. Do not use this
site for the promotion of commercial products, services or other sites.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
We do not save, store, collect, forward, share, sell or report any personal identification
information anywhere (names, e-mail addresses or the personal messages if included
in the e-cards). There is no backend database on this site. You have the option
of sending the e-card completely anonymously, or you can enter your e-mail address
so that the recipient knows who initiated the card.
StopTheSpreadOnline.org may utilize information about your server, IP address and
browser-related information in the general administration of the site. We will not
sell, trade or give away this information to anyone. We may use aggregate information
(i.e. number of e-cards sent per month; average number of recipients, etc.) for
administration and improvements to the site, as well as articles and presentations
in conferences and workshops.

SEND NO DISRESPECT
If you send an e-card you agree to abide by the “Terms of Use” of this site which
include using the service responsibly and in a mature, honest and respectful way.
E-cards may not be used to send disrespectful messages. Expressing bigotry, hatred,
abuse or harassment will not be tolerated. Using this site to send e-cards that
include or convey derogatory or defamatory statements or use of profanity is strictly
prohibited. Use of the e-card service to send false information is also prohibited.
Likewise, SPAM is prohibited. Sending multiple e-cards to the same e-mail address
is also prohibited. Violating these “Terms of Use” and/or intentional misuse of
this service will be investigated and addressed within the confines of the legal
system.
StopTheSpreadOnline is not a substitute for a doctor’s visit or professional medical
advice. The use of this service is completely voluntary. We are not responsible
for actions taken or for actions which are not taken as a result of sending or receiving
an e-card or e-mail generated from this site. StopTheSpreadOnline, its creators
and partners shall not be held liable for any damages resulting from said e-cards
or the use of this site.
